Roy Williams sees benefit in summer travel mega-events

There are roughly 600 basketball players on 17-under and 16-under teams under one roof at the Peach Jam, including many of the top high school players in the country. For that reason, college coaches consider summer basketball mega-events like this such as the Peach Jam the ideal biosphere to observe potential recruits. "It's by far the most ideal situation for us because you see team play here, not just one guy trying to impress everybody," North Carolina coach Roy Williams said. "It's the best evaluation event of the whole summer. You have four courts, and you don't have to drive 10 miles between courts."
