Initial Thoughts On Butch Davis’ Dismissal

The popular theory right now is that a shift in the balance of power of the UNC Board of Trustees is what eventually doomed Butch Davis. The BOT met on Wednesday and named a new chairman, Wade Hargrove Jr. and two new members, Lowry Caudill and Steve Lerner. Perhaps, the thinking goes, the new blood wasn’t as keen on keeping Davis around. (ACC Sports Journal)
