Initial Thoughts On Butch Davis’ Dismissal

The popular theory right now is that a shift in the balance of power of the UNC Board of Trustees is what eventually doomed Butch Davis. The BOT met on Wednesday and named a new chairman, Wade Hargrove Jr. and two new members, Lowry Caudill and Steve Lerner. Perhaps, the thinking goes, the new blood wasn’t as keen on keeping Davis around.
