breaking up is hard to do. Ask Holden Thorp if you don’t believe it. It was ugly on the surface and downright hideous enough underneath that UNC should have made this move months ago, if not a year ago. But Thorp and athletic director Dick Baddour no longer could stand by Butch Davis, and Thursday morning in a press conference at the Friday Center, they did their best to explain why.
