Coach: Patton Robinette still committed to North Carolina
Posted Jul 29, 2011
Maryville quarterback Patton Robinette is "still committed" to North Carolina, despite the firing of head coach Butch Davis, according to Maryville coach George Quarles. Davis was fired in the wake of an NCAA scandal which also led to the resignation of UNC's athletic director. Robinette committed to North Carolina in June, choosing the Tar Heels because of their academic and athletic prowess. The signal-caller led the Red Rebels to the 2010 6-A state championship in his first year as a starter.
