University of North Carolina chancellor Holden Thorp's decision to fire football coach Butch Davis on Wednesday prompted a flurry of emails to his office from supporters and critics of the decision. A record request for those emails provides a glimpse of both sides of the debate consuming university faculty members, graduates and fans of the Tar Heels program.
