Everett Withers prepared to put personal stamp on UNC football program

Longtime assistant Everett Withers is in one of the hottest seats in the country as the interim football coach at UNC. He will lead the program after the Wednesday dismissal of Butch Davis under the shadow of an ongoing NCAA investigation. In his first public news conference as the head coach Friday. Withers nodded to that scandal, saying, "I think we've got a talented football team. What I want to do is help our team grow in other areas."
