UNC system chief showed concern

Eight days before football coach Butch Davis was fired, the academic toll of the NCAA investigation at UNC-Chapel Hill had created concern at the highest level of the UNC system. On July 19, members of the UNC system Board of Governors and chancellors in the system received an email from system president Tom Ross regarding the scandal. (Raleigh News & Observer)
