WR Ray Martin commits to West Virginia
Posted Jul 31, 2011
Wide receiver Ray Martin has committed to West Virginia on Sunday. Martin's commitment comes just six days after North Carolina self-reported nine NCAA recruiting violations and the fired coach Butch Davis. Martin (5-10, 195) had narrowed his schools to three on Monday -- UNC, West Virginia and Iowa -- but once the news came down, he crossed off the Tar Heels rather quickly, even though his main recruiter Everett Withers was named the interim Tar Heels coach.
