Jorge Milian of the Palm Beach Post caught up with 'Canes coach Al Golden to talk recruiting, incoming freshmen and sideline attire. UNC’s firing of Butch Davis might benefit the ‘Canes on the recruiting trail. At ACC Football Media Days last week, former UNC coach Butch Davis admitted that the NCAA investigation into the Tar Heel football program had hurt his recruiting efforts. A prime UNC recruiting target from Georgia, Sheldon Rankins, says he was shocked when he heard Davis was fired. (ACC Sports Journal)
