Why is North Carolina football a perennial underachiever? Why haven’t the Tar Heels won an ACC championship in 31 years? Why are they 3-10 against Virginia since coach Mack Brown exited for Texas and 1-6 against Virginia Tech since the Hokies joined the ACC? More to the point, how does North Carolina start reaping dividends instead of embarrassment from its football investments? (Daily Press)
