Hunter Furr's decision leaves UNC thin in backfield

North Carolina junior Hunter Furr, the only returning running back who had a carry a year ago, is set to transfer, the school announced Wednesday. Furr, who was listed second on the depth chart, is seeking more playing time according to a statement from UNC. Furr played in 11 games in 2010 and had five carries for 29 yards. Three carries for 27 yards came in the win over Florida State.
