Pinecrest assistant coach Ben Hammer marvels at the footage of offensive tackle Bryce Kennedy driving a helpless defender 16 yards downfield. College recruiters are pushing equally hard to land the 6-foot-3, 285-pound lineman. All five FBS programs in North Carolina have offered. So have Stanford and Tennessee. Temple, Florida International, Eastern Michigan and Western Kentucky are in the mix. As Kennedy explores his college options, he's taking the quality of education into account.
