Tar Heels moving past outside distractions
Posted Aug 12, 2011
Butch Davis may no longer be the head football coach at North Carolina, but the Tar Heels say it remains business as usual a week into fall camp. Davis was fired two weeks ago and replaced for the entire 2011 season on an interim basis by then-defensive coordinator Everett Withers. The rest of the staff, however, remained intact, and that alone has helped Carolina transition during the early part of the post-Davis era.
