UNC feels fallout in AP poll, Miami doesn’t

The Tar Heels garnered 14 votes and placed 36th in the coaches poll, which was taken before the shakeup that saw coach Butch Davis fired a week before the start of preseason camp and replaced by defensive coordinator Everett Withers. By contrast, UNC was not mentioned on a single ballot in the AP poll. (Wilmington Star News)
