Jonathan Cooper steps into spotlight as Tar Heel leader

The old saying goes that offensive linemen are only noticed when they do something wrong. North Carolina guard Jonathan Cooper has gone a long way toward dispelling that myth. When coach Butch Davis was unexpectedly fired only a week before the start of training camp, Cooper became one of the most visible members of Tar Heels while taking on the responsibility as an unofficial team spokesman.
