Smiley Undergoes Successful Surgery; Hunter To Transfer; Walk-on Additions

North Carolina freshman cornerback Sam Smiley had successful surgery Friday morning to repair a fracture of his right middle finger. The injury occurred in Monday's practice. The surgery was performed by Dr. Donald Bynum at UNC Hospitals. Smiley is expected to return to action within two weeks. (Tar Heel Blue)
