Shalane Flanagan Takes Seventh At World Champs

Former Tar Heel standout distance runner Shalane Flanagan took seventh in the women's 10,000 meters on the first night of the IAAF World Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Daegu Stadium. The meet will last from Aug. 27 through Sept. 4.
