Bryn Renner is eager for his chance

Barring injury or a late charge from junior Braden Hanson, Renner will start North Carolina's opener Saturday against James Madison. He takes over a program in turmoil after the firing of coach Butch Davis, charges of nine major rules violations by the NCAA and a very uncertain future. Renner, the son of a high-school football coach, said he knows what's ahead and how to handle it.
