Kareem Martin to start for Tar Heels
Posted Sep 1, 2011
When Kareem Martin found himself in the starting lineup for UNC in last season’s opener against LSU, it caught the true freshman by surprise. He went into the season expecting to redshirt, but ended up starting three games and receiving a lot of playing time. The 6-feet 6-inch, 260-pound sophomore will be starting at left defensive end against James Madison at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Kenan Stadium. Martin said he is ready.
