ACC Football Commitment Lists: Coastal Division, Sept. 8

UNC rookie head coach picked up his first recruit when little-known Kannapolis, N.C. athlete chose North Carolina in mid-August. Washington, who will play running back for the Tar Heels, is having a breakout season. Running back Chris Mangus of Raleigh (N.C.) Broughton chose the Hokies despite having multiple in-state offers. Mangus is part of a growing trend taking place among North Carolina’s top football players — of the top 10 players from the state, half have yet to commit while the other half have committed to out-of-state schools.
