Curtis Byrd moving up the depth chart
Posted Sep 9, 2011
It doesn't take a CPA to recognize the monetary value of a football scholarship, but UNC fullback Curtis Byrd, a graduate student enrolled in UNC's Masters of Accounting program, can appreciate it. "Undergrad [tuition] here is $5[,000] or $6,000, [and] the grad school accounting program more than doubles that," said the former walk-on, who was awarded a football scholarship before the season. "So I was more happy for my parents than I was for myself."
