UNC interim coach Everett Withers continues to build his resume to apply for North Carolina's head coaching position at the end of the season. With the 28-17 win over Virginia, UNC is off to a 1-0 start in the ACC for the first time since 2000, and the Tar Heels are now 3-0 with a very early advantage in the Coastal Division race.
