Tar Heels claim first win in ACC opener in 11 years
Posted Sep 18, 2011
Ryan Houston returned to his roots as a short yardage back, rushing for 19 yards but reaching the end zone on runs of 1 and 2 yards. And A.J. Blue, who had five carries this season prior to Saturday, gained 40 hard-earned yards on nine carries. “I think we’ve got the three best running backs in the ACC,” Blue said. “I don’t mean that to be cocky because we’ve also got the best line in the ACC. We bring three different things to the table.”
