Tar Heels impressed by Yellow Jackets’ potent attack
Posted Sep 20, 2011
The Yellow Jackets, who will host UNC this Saturday in a matchup of 3-0 teams (noon, ESPN), set a new ACC record for rushing yards with 604 and broke a 28-year-old NCAA record with an average of 12.1 yards per carry. The team totaled a school-record 768 yards of offense. “I’m a big-time college football fan, and when I saw those stats I was like, ‘Wow, that’s impressive,’” UNC quarterback Bryn Renner said.
