The Tar Heels did many good things on offense. Dwight Jones was productive on intermediate routes and Giovani Bernard was used often on screens. Freshman tight end Eric Ebron showed his athleticism on a 20-yard scoring strike from Renner. Carolina averaged 6.4 yards a snap to Tech's 6.9 yards; problem was, the Tar Heels had 20 fewer snaps.
