Nickolette Driesse lands in Heel heaven
Posted Sep 28, 2011
Nickolette Driesse dialed the number. When she got through to Anson Dorrance, the legendary coach didn’t waste any time telling her why he wanted to speak. He said he wanted Driesse at UNC, he liked her “Jersey bite,” and he was ready to offer her a scholarship. But there was a catch. Driesse had 24 hours to accept. “At that point, I knew I couldn’t let it go,” Driesse said. “It’s my dream school, so I couldn’t pass it up.”
