Tar Heels roll past error-plagued East Carolina

East Carolina was a kind host to its in-state guest Saturday night, committing four turnovers in the first half that allowed North Carolina to roll to a 35-20 victory. A rare visit from the Tar Heels generated excitement and a record crowd of 50,610 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. But the electricity fizzled when the Pirates fumbled twice and threw an interception on their first three possessions. (Wilmington Star News)
