North Carolina knew it would need a different game plan to defeat East Carolina. Offensively, the Tar Heels also added a few new wrinkles, displaying a variety of personnel groups and formations. Defensively -- against Pirates offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley's pass-heavy offense -- different didn’t necessarily mean better. (Inside Carolina)
