High Fives: Gio Bernard, North Carolina – In just five games, Bernard has been so impressive one can argue he’s UNC’s best tailback since Kelvin Bryant in the mid-1980s. In Saturday’s rout at East Carolina, the redshirt freshman ran for 146 yards and a touchdown and is averaging 109 yards per game for the Tar Heels. Bryn Renner, North Carolina – After a couple of so-so weeks, Renner was back on fire over the weekend.
