Jermaine Strong, Andre Barbour Not Expected to Return

UNC football players Jermaine Strong and Andre Barbour, who were suspended indefinitely on Oct. 22 for violating team and University policy, are not expected to rejoin the team. The players were notified of the decision by head coach Butch Davis during meetings this week. "Coach Davis has informed Strong and Barbour that he has recommended to University officials that their scholarships not be renewed for the 2008-09 academic year."
