Posted Nov 30, 2007

Davis brought enthusiasm for football to Chapel Hill, where UNC has long treated the pigskin sport as a fall folly. Bill Friday, former head of the UNC system, can complain all he wants, but Davis' raise was justified in the world of big-college athletics.
