Dwight Jones hauled in the latest in the seemingly weekly string of highlight-reel worthy plays, providing the difference in the Tar Heels’ 14-7 non-conference victory. And on a day when pretty football was scarce, it was quite possibly, the day’s only memorable moment. “I think its important go and win an ugly football game,” North Carolina interim coach Everett Withers said.
