Poor start, mistakes doom Tar Heels

A week ago, UNC escaped Louisville and itself to eke out a narrow victory over the visiting Cardinals. It was the third time this season the Tar Heels had won a game despite not playing well. In Saturday's 30-24 home loss to Miami, Carolina learned that not being ready to play and making a parade of early mistakes makes beating quality foes supremely difficult. (Fox Sports Carolinas)
