Depth at linebacker made Okakpu’s dismissal an easy call

North Carolina linebacker Ebele Okakpu was dismissed from the program Monday for what coach Everett Withers termed “conduct detrimental to the team.” Though Withers declined to provide details about the circumstances leading to Okakpu’s dismissal, published reports indicate that the 6-foot-2, 225-pound senior got into a shouting match with an assistant coach during UNC’s 30-24 loss to the Tar Heels.
