UNC's freshman forward from the mountains in the western part of the state raised some eyebrows during the Tar Heels' scrimmage during midnight madness. Jackson Simmons, who is 6-foot-8 and played in North Carolina's smallest high school division, wowed the capacity crowd with some unexpected athleticism. He closed a few fast breaks and had a nifty alley-oop, which drew a partial standing ovation. (Fox Sports South)
