Teel Time: ACC football a tough sell


The reasons (for low football attendance) are myriad. The economy stinks, and tickets are pricey. High-definition televisions and DVR enhance home viewing. Judging from the round numbers, the Tar Heels just eyeball attendance and guess-timate. Average for five games is 55,300, or 87.8 percent of capacity, not bad given the NCAA scandal and preseason firing of coach . (Daily Press)
