UNC bowl eligible with 49-24 win over Wake


North Carolina became bowl eligible for a fourth consecutive season Saturday after beating Wake Forest 49-24 at Kenan Stadium. It was the largest scoring output of the season for the Tar Heels, who play at N.C. State next week. They took advantage of five Deacons turnovers in breaking a two-game losing streak. Tar Heels tailback gained 154 yards on 27 carries and scored two touchdowns. (Raleigh News & Observer)
