If Everett Withers’ controversial pregame comments about graduation rates were meant to ignite a spark beneath the North Carolina-N.C. State rivalry this week, he certainly succeeded. The problem is the inspiration he provided helped the wrong team. “Everybody knows what was said, but thanks to him,” Wolfpack linebacker Terrell Manning said. “He really fired us up out there.”
