J.R. Reid interested in community college coaching job


, a former All-American basketball player at UNC and an 11-year NBA veteran, is exploring an opportunity to join the men’s basketball coaching staff at Patrick Henry Community College. Reid, who played at UNC before being selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the fifth overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft, attended Saturday’s game between PHCC and Wytheville Community College at Stone Hall.
