Matt Merletti Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery

UNC senior safety Matt Merletti had successful arthroscopic surgery to remove loose cartilage in his left knee Tuesday at UNC Hospitals. Dr. Alex Creighton performed the surgery. Merletti's knee ligaments were evaluated and surgical reconstruction was not required. His playing status will be updated at the beginning of UNC's bowl practice in December. (Tar Heel Blue)
