President Barack Obama gave a pregame speech and sat courtside for the entire game as UNC opened its season with a 67-55 win over Michigan State in the Carrier Classic, the first game to take place on an aircraft carrier. “This is the neatest thing I’ve ever been a part of,” UNC coach Roy Williams said. "I enjoyed every possible thing about it." (Durham Herald-Sun)
