Michigan State rarely accepts moral victories, but that is what it will have to take. On a night where the real winners were the members of the military aboard the USS Carl Vinson and President Obama was in attendance, it was the No. 1 team in the nation that won the basketball game. North Carolina held off a late rally by Michigan State to win 67-55 on Friday behind 17 points from Harrison Barnes.
