Wayne Ellington Sparks Carolina Rout
Posted Nov 21, 2007
It looked as though UNC was set for another sluggish start after South Carolina State took an early 8-4 lead on Tuesday night, but Wayne Ellington had other plans. The Philadelphia sophomore started a 27-8 run by turning defense into offense as the Tar Heels bolted to a 110-64 victory. Ellington scored 12 points, serving as the only smooth element of an otherwise unpolished UNC offensive performance.
