Linebacker Joseph Jackson of Jacksonville was committed to West Virginia, but he had a change of heart and committed to North Carolina on Nov. 7. North Carolina also added cornerback Tyreece Jiles of Cape Coral (FL) High, who remains committed to the Tar Heels despite reports that he had switched allegiances to Purdue. Another three-star defensive back from Florida, Malik Simmons, committed to North Carolina at the end of October. On the offensive end, North Carolina snagged three-star lineman Bryce Kennedy from Southern Pines (NC) Pinecrest.
