North Carolina defensive tackle Tydreke Powell has experienced his share of rabid crowds. But nothing tops the Tar Heels’ trip to Virginia Tech two years ago. “To this day, I ain’t been in a stadium as loud as V-Tech,” Powell said. Powell would know. Two years ago, he caused a fumble at the Virginia Tech 24 with two minutes left in a tie game, allowing teammate Casey Barth to kick the winning field goal as time expired.
