UNC starts fast, errs, falls to Virginia Tech on road 24-21

The Tar Heels forced a turnover on Virginia Tech’s first snap, scored a touchdown three plays later, and then were inside the Hokies 5-yard line on their next possession. But just like the season in general, UNC (6-5, 2-5) couldn’t capitalize on a fast start. Ryan Houston fumbled at the 2 and the ninth-ranked Hokies recovered. Virginia Tech proceeded to score 24 straight points and held on for a 24-21 win.
