Tar Heels’ loss to Hokies weighs heavy on Ryan Houston

Most UNC players entered Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium on Thursday night with nothing but positive feelings after the Tar Heels upset the Hokies two years ago. But fifth-year senior tailback Ryan Houston carried another memory — as a freshman in 2007, he had fumbled inside the 5-yard line in a game the Tar Heels wound up losing by seven points. Unfortunately for Houston, Thursday night’s game was more like 2007 than ’09.
