John Henson had 18 points and 14 rebounds to help top-ranked North Carolina beat Mississippi Valley State 101-75 on Sunday. Harrison Barnes also had 18 points for the Tar Heels (3-0), who had little trouble winning their home opener in a ragged game. North Carolina never trailed, led by 14 at halftime then blew the game open in the final 10 minutes to lead by as many as 30.
