Could Kendall Marshall break Division I assist records?
Posted Nov 23, 2011
Kendall Marshall has 43 assists through four games, good for a 10.75 average. Is the Division I single-season record for assists within reach? If North Carolina advances to the ACC tournament final as well as the Final Four, it will play at least 39 games. In that scenario, Marshall would have to average 10.4 assists over the final 35 games to break the single-season record of 406 set by UNLV’s Mark Wade in 1987.
