Danny Green grows to big role for Tar Heels

Once Danny Green became a second-half substitution in the season opener for the North Carolina men’s basketball team, there was no reason to substitute for him. Green put together a stellar stretch that helped the Tar Heels through their first game. “That’s the reason that Danny is so valuable to us,” coach Roy Williams said, pointing out Green’s versatility.
